Claudia Binda is Associate Professor of Molecular Biology at the University of Pavia and works within the protein crystallography group in the Department of Biology and Biotechnology. Her research projects are focused on the molecular characterization of enzyme drug targets including monoamine oxidases and of flavoenzymes industrially relevant in the field of biocatalysis. In particular, these studies involve heterologous over-expression (bacterial, yeast, insect cells), FPLC purification, enzymatic assays, X-ray crystallography. Within the PhD program in Genetics, Molecular and Cell Biology, she is involved in the organization of the course in "Innovative technologies and bioinformatics".
